On Thursday, the singer, fashion designer, makeup artist, and actress turned 32.

And Rihanna celebrated her birthday by taking her friends and family on a trip to Mexico.

Tuesday night, the singer held a lavish dinner party complete with dancing and a big birthday cake, which she twerked across in jest before blowing out the candles.

Her closest friend Melissa Forde posted pictures from their vacation in Mexico on her Instagram account, wishing her a happy birthday. The friends were seen posing in their bikinis on a boat.

“Happy Birthday, sis @badgirlriri,” Melissa posted. I will always be proud of you and will love you forever! “Happy birthday, 32! #ohyouuptherenow #foreveryoungtho.” 

The businesswoman looked amazing in a short-sleeved shirt with a dipped neckline and a graphic design down the middle.

She accessorized with layers of bangles and necklaces, matching the statement top to a small gold miniskirt.

To complete her appearance, Rihanna wore her hair loose and curled and applied smokey eye makeup.

Her cake looked fantastic and had the number 32 in shades of pink, red, purple, green, and yellow on top.

At the outdoor celebration in Mexico, she had balloons that said ‘RIH32,’ replete with mariachi musicians.

The evening began with a supper outside, seated around a big table that was lit up with candles on either side.

After dinner, ‘they threw everything away’ and had a ‘huge dance party,’ the source told E! News.

According to the insider, Rihanna “was in her element with the people she loves and having a great time.” She “danced and sang all night” and had a “big smile on her face.” 

There was a beautifully decorated inside area with a variety of delicious snacks like cupcakes, cake pops, and cookies.

Hanging balloons, decorations, and vibrant roses adorned the dessert table.  

Before blowing out the candles on her birthday cake, Rihanna was serenaded with happy birthday wishes and even engaged in a brief twerk session.

Rihanna posted an Instagram story earlier in the day that featured the digits “02.20.20,” which stand for her birthday.
